NOTICE OF A CHANGE TO CLR, CEFAP & RSAP DUES ASSESSMENT
- EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1st, 2011

At the AGM held on November 3rd, 2011, the CLR Membership & Council, via unanimous resolution, adopted the 2011-2012 Budget, which included the recommendation of the Board of Directors to increase remittance amounts, effective December 1, 2011, for all participating organizations and trades jurisdictions as follows:

Construction Labour Relations Hourly Working Dues

  • For all trades jurisdictions on whose behalf CLR holds the registration certificate the hourly contribution will be increased from 6¢ per hour worked to 8¢ per hour worked;
  • For each of the trade jurisdictions for which another organization is registered and conducts collective bargaining, CLR Members remittance of 3¢ per hour worked will increase to 4¢ per hour worked, to a maximum contribution of $25.00.

Construction Employee & Family Assistance Program

  • Hourly contribution be increased from 4.0¢ per hour to 6.0¢ per hour;
  • For salaried personnel it will be increased from $6.00 per month to $9.00 per month.

Rapid Site Access Program

  • Hourly contribution increased from 8.0¢ per hour to 9.0¢ per hour for industrial & short term and shutdown (eg: NMA) maintenance;
  • Hourly contribution increased from 4.0¢ per hour to 4.5¢ per hour for long term maintenance (eg: GPA);
  • Hourly contribution increased from 4.0¢ per hour to 4.5¢ per hour for work in fabrication shops who have chosen to participate.

The revised rate changes will be indicated on the December 2011 amalgamated remittance forms that are submitted on line at www.remittance.clra.org.  Please call with any questions regarding this change.

RE: REVISED COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT SUBSISTENCE RATE FOR ATHABASCA AREA

The Coordinating Committee of Registered Employers Organizations and the Building Trades of Alberta have recently concluded a Subsistence Review for the Athabasca area pursuant to affected Construction Collective Agreements and have agreed to amend the current daily subsistence rate to $140.00, effective Sunday December 4th 2011.

Note that this rate will also apply to maintenance work being performed in this area under the National Maintenance Agreement and the General Presidents Agreement.
